Playing over her games is just a source of entertainment for me. She's using an experience and feel that is beyond my ability to emulate. In the case of Judit Polgar, as much as I have tried, I cannot learn from her - she plays at a level that is too high for me. I've learned things here and there playing over class games by Morphy, and even modern games by Anand (his crush of Naiditch taught me more about the Sicilian than any other source.) But I am just a average club player. But I am just applying patterns and clues and leveraging what I've learned from seeing these ideas in the games of past masters. On a good day, I play flashy sacrificial attacks that work out. As a matter of raising them with Chess, that choice was probably almost arbitrary and chosen by the parents rather than as a result of some "discovery" about the talent of the children. The premise the Lazlo Polgar "raised three geniuses" is not too far off the mark. I think only Anand, Shirov and Kasparov are willing to go toe to toe with her in open tactical positions (Shirov tends to get his head bashed in as a result, Anand loses more points to her that their rating difference suggests he should, though Kasparov does appear to the better of her more often). When she loses it tends to be in boring endgames that her opponents manage to force. Most just conclude that they have to play quiet solid chess - its just not worth it to get into an unclear tactical positions against her. All top players, go into very special preparations when they face her. Then she proceeds to prove that indeed there is an attack, its just a slow inevitable attack that cannot be stopped, not some quick finish. She makes one of these moves that you just can't believe will work - it looks like she's just going to drop a piece leaving no clear attack.
